Editorial policy

This site is written for players who are mid-run, stuck, or planning a second playthrough. That audience punishes vagueness. Our editorial rules are therefore simple: say what is confirmed, say what is disputed, and never fill a gap with a confident guess.

Sourcing

1. Tier 1: the game itself, S-GAME patch notes, Steam, PlayStation, and official trailers.
2. Tier 2: outlets that played the build and published tested routes — PowerPyx, IGN, GameSpot, KeenGamer, Fextralife, kungfupunk.
3. Tier 3: community databases and videos, used for cross-checking only.

Launch-week SEO pages often repeat each other. A fact repeated by five aggregators is still one source if all five copied the same post. We try to trace the claim back to a played route or a screenshot.

Counts and conflicts

Phantom Blade Zero has several legitimate count disputes: 8 vs 9 regions, 30 vs 33 Tales, 24 vs 25 Phantom Edges, 63 vs 75 boss names. We use the count that matches the page’s purpose and explain the discrepancy in the text. We do not silently pick the bigger number for the headline.

Spoilers

Guides that reveal endings, traitors, or late-game bosses carry a spoiler flag. We keep the flag in the page metadata and in the visible tag. Walkthrough pages are route-first; the story is context, not the point.

Updates

The date at the top of each guide is the last time we checked it against the live build. Patch notes, hotfixes, and reader corrections can change a route. If a claim is invalidated, we remove it rather than leaving a correction buried at the bottom.

AI assistance

Drafting and translation are assisted by language models, then checked against the research file and the sources listed on each page. We do not publish model output without a fact check. The editorial desk is responsible for every claim that remains.
